Ron. Is. The. Man!
I came to Ron for a setup and pup replacement. Being that the guitar was a semi-hollow body Gretsch, I was sure that he was either going to decline working on it or charge an arm and a leg for “inconvenience fees” (like most of the other guitar shops and Luthiers in the area I reached out to). But in fact, he was more than happy to tackle the project and didn’t up charge for inconvenience.
Not only is Ron fantastic at what he does, he really tailored the guitar for me. I (not being well versed in setups & electronics) just told him what I was thinking, my preferences, and what I’m trying to achieve with the setup and upgrades. And he absolutely nailed it.
He’s extremely organized and writes down preferences and other notes he wants to make sure he doesn’t miss (like the way the switches and knobs worked originally and any “problem areas” or areas of concern etc) And he truly took care of my guitar while in his possession; making sure to not accidentally scratch it when taking out the pups and electronics etc. Just truly amazing craftsmanship and professionalism.
The action was perfect.
He fixed my sharp frets.
My guitar was perfectly in tune everywhere on the fret board.
My pickups, knobs, and switches worked flawlessly.
And his organization and communication throughout the process was

And I’ll be returning many times to come in the future and will be referring all of my friends to him

10/10 would recommend!! I took my grandfathers old guitar in for the nut to be replaced and ended up doing a little tune up as well. He did such a wonderful job and in a timely manner. His prices are beyond reasonable. He is very thorough and truly cares about the work he is doing.

Ron did a repair and set up on my 1982 vintage Takamine 12 string. The care and craftmanship is outstanding! Not only did he fix the problems it had but he went above and beyond! For Ron, this is a labor of love, not just a buisness. His rates are more than resonable and great turn around time. You couldn't ask for a finer job.

Ron is amazing! The work Ron did on my guitar, plus the setup, was the best ever. I was amazed how the intonation was absolutely dead nuts up and down the neck on all the strings. I have had many places work on my guitars through the years but I have never gotten a guitar back so spot on! When I got the guitar back from Ron I literally played it for the next 3 hours with much glee! I highly recommend Ron to anyone and he will certainly be the one to receive all my business in the future.
